Vegan Protein Granola for the Perfect Breakfast

Watch the video

Homemade granola is easy, babe!

All you have to do is mix oats with some tasty, nutritious add-ins, toast everything in the oven, and boom—you've got homemade granola for breakfast or whenever you need a little something to snack on.

And since I'm guessing you're busy, why not combine your granola and your protein in one batch? Less time in the kitchen, more time for everything else.

Yep. Granola with added protein.

Disclosure: This post is supported by Myprotein. Thank you! That support helps keep this blog going and helps me promote vegan living.

If the sheer number of Myprotein products leaves you a little lost, check out my recommendations here.

Wondering whether protein powder can handle baking and toasting? Yes! You can bake with protein powder without losing its protein value. No need to worry.

A Few Tips for Vegan Protein Granola

  • The extra protein comes from Myprotein's unflavored protein powder. Find the product here. My discount code is Haggai.
  • No unflavored protein powder? Use whichever vegan protein powder you have, or substitute soy flour.
  • A heads-up about soy flour: it has a strong flavor that can take some getting used to. That swap is for the fans!
  • The add-ins: I use sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, raw cacao, and cranberries for flavor and nutrition. Feel free to mix things up with your own favorites.
  • For flavor, I add a little silan (date syrup, a staple in Israeli kitchens) and olive oil—otherwise, is it even granola? You can swap in maple syrup or another sweetener you like, and use another oil in place of the olive oil. Either way works.
